Black magic and Pleasing the Evil spirited Deities

Tantriks and Mantriks - Occult Science Practitioners

Worship of evil spirited deity (Kshudra devatha upasana in Hindi language) is common in some parts of India, even today.

Tantra vidya (subject related to occult science), or tantrika, is said to be a diverse and rich spiritual tradition of the Indian subcontinent. People in Western countries simply call this as Black magic. Ancient tantrik texts contain two kinds of Black magic methods practised in India. Sorcerers in the North India practised Kashmora where as the South Indian sorcerers were using the Banamathi method. In the southern state of Andhra Pradesh and North Karnataka they still practice Banamathi.

Tantrik
What do you mean by Tantrik, Mantrik and the Yantra?

A Tantrik is well known as a tantra systems practitioner in India and Tibet. This type of science is also associated with practices of the occult and black magic.

A Mantrik is someone who specializes in practicing mantras. One who chants to please a god or evil spirit for his benefit. Mantras are sacred chantings containing magical and mystical words.

A Yantra is associated with these kind of practices. Yantra is a meditational device or instrument used by Hindu and Tibetan Tantriks to accomplish certain tasks. The word "yam," means "to sustain," the Yantra has in it a symbolic image used to maintain a focused state during meditation or worship. Most of the time it is composed of an outer geometrical form enclosing other interior geometrical designs. Each type of Yantra or design is used for a specific purpose or intent.

Aghori tantrik

Tantriks casting a spell

People in some parts of India, go in search of these Tantriks and powerful Mantriks to get their impossible and incomplete tasks done successfully. The task accomplished may give a good or bad result. But the faith in it still remains intact for many people who think it as possible. People in this part of the world also have a belief that they can get cured from health problems when a doctor gives up. Even in this modern age it is amazing to see the people believing in such practices.

Women and men go in search of the Tantriks, so as to bring the opposite sex under their control. Also sometimes to win over a person, may be with some good or bad intention. The magical powder or liquid given by these Tantriks is mixed into the enemy's food or drink, unknowingly. Thus they get rid of a particular person or plan to put a person into deep trouble. This is called as Prayog (casting a spell)in Hindi. After this prayog, the enemy either suffers a lot because of health problems, or dies, not knowing what actually happened to him. Most of the time it gets detected by another powerful Tantrik who is involved in the same profession. Sometimes, it might get detected with the help of Sadhus and Babas( persons who have gained supernatural powers by deep meditation and sacred chants).

The clan of Tantriks and Mantriks

Tantriks and mantriks get their powers by what they call the upasana(worship) of Kshudra devathas(deity with evil spirits). They worship these Kshudra devathas in order to get the powers. The sacrificing of birds and animals to gain those powers is common here. Myths and legends of ancient India, give a clear picture of the sacrificing human beings in front of these deities just to gain some supernatural powers.

The Indian states, Kerala and West Bengal even to this day have many Tantriks performing unbelievable tasks. Keralite Mantriks are good at black magic and also are able to remove cast spells. The hair, cloth, sometimes finger nails and also sand (or soil) lying below a particular person's feet on whom he has to cast a spell, is taken for this purpose. The Prayog is done from remote places many times. A clay doll is created. After performing all necessary rituals the cloth, nail or the sand collected is used in the doll. And then just by piercing the doll or chanting mystic mantras the Mantrik starts troubling enemies. The enemy at the other end will feel the pain and unknown physical and mental disorders. In the later stages, it becomes intolerable and finally dies. There will not be any clue of what actually went wrong with the person and why he died.

Disputed land will be got back by the owner when he castes a spell and wins in the court. Land owner troubles the tenant to leave the place with the help of a copper plate powered with black magic. A Tantrik's prayog will be so strong that it takes the form of a Cobra snake or a dead, haunting around the house, wearing a white dress. The people who get attacked in such a way, worship the Hindu god Hanuman or read Hanuman chalisa( chant in praise of Lord Hanuman, the monkey god). Thus they believe they might get rid of such a vicious attack.

A possessed person gets relieved from the unbearable physical and mental stress caused by evil spirits, when he visits a Tantrik continuously. In this respect, the Tantriks are very similar to "exorcists" in the western culture.

To cast a spell, obviously a heinous act

The Tantrik most of the time uses burial ground for the incantation during midnight, especially on a new moon day. He finishes off his work smoothly on such a dark and frightening night. Burial ground is the best place to invoke spirits, according to them. He may also sit over the dead body to chant the mystic mantras, sometimes. Mantriks also take the help of women to invoke spirits. In some cases, a sexual intercourse on the spot cannot be ruled out. This pleases the spirits and allows to continue with the incantation work, smoothly. Blood from ones own finger or sacrificial animals and birds is spilled. Domestic animals such as Sheep, Goat and birds like Hen, Cock etc. are offered to please these evil spirits. If something goes wrong during this time or mantras are wrongly chanted then Mantrik himself will have to bear the wrath of evil spirits. He may die later, vomiting a lot of blood.

Mantriks and Tantriks have always got to be careful while on their way to incantation and invoking spirits. Sometimes, they also die when the cast spell is reversed by the other side person. It may be either performing a Mrithyunjaya yajna ( Yajna, a religious duty involving Agni, the sacrificial fire, with the chanting of the sacred mantras. Mrithyunjaya is Lord Shiva of the Hindus) or equivalent by the person who has been troubled seriously.

Tantriks and Mantriks act like the underground criminals who always secretly chant mantras from remote places and perform devilish tasks. Businessmen and politicians who believe in them, get their job done and think they will succeed in their respective fields. Politicians win the favour of people by an incantation or get good results in the election by pleasing the deity. If the Tantrik they follow is not good enough, or the opposition takes smarter steps, the spells do not work at all. It's all about huge gains and losses in this material world.

Greed has no limits. Greediness leads the human race to carry out such a heinous act, every now and then.

Interesting hub. I knew about Shamas, but they are typically worshipers of good spirits, or so I think. This seems like a form of black magic, but then ancient Jewish (Old Testament) tradition, also practiced animal sacrifice. Informative and interesting hub. (: v

Valerie...These tantriks are worser than people who are involved in Shamas. Many people have died because of these Tantriks. Tantriks too have breathed their last after using their powers for bad purposes. Greed for wealth and money is still leading these people to such anti-social activities.

i saw the video about these people called "madventures", where the host visits with them. it was much scarier and more disturbing than the kindly, peaceful portrayal of the man who joined this sect. and one of the men, when asked about human sacrifice, answered in a very aggressive tone of voice. really scary.

Tantra is the most sacred art of self realization.Tantra is the process of awakening the God in one self.Shree Vidya sadhana is the highest tantra sadhana where male and female energies merge for perfect salvation.Black Magic is done with lower dimensional energies and are gross in nature and the practitioner who performs black magic is not a tantrik but a user of devilish energies to create negativity of any form.

Author 9 months ago
One who practices Tantra vidya is a Tantrik. Tantriks can go both ways. He can do good or bad depending upon the situation and the people he comes across. Their greed for money and misuse of powers have degraded them in modern times.

Thanks for the info, I am not familiar with all this Black magic talk, I reside in Iran, and some years ago someone has put spell on me ( Islamic kind of spell) for many years I have not been able to have a stable life, couple of years ago someone told me about the spell, said that it will remove the spell, but it has not been successful.
to remove black magic, does it matter from which part of the world the spell has been cast? I mean if it is a Islamic spell, can a knowledgeable hindu person remove the spell?
How can I get rid of this spell or black magic or whatever it is called? appreciate your help.

Author 9 months ago
Hi Manouchehr.... Any kind of spell...it is not restricted to any religion. The spell may be of any kind. It will be successfully removed at the temple of Kshanambika. It doesn't matter from which part of the world the spell has been cast. it will be removed. But faith is really important before you go to such places.

logic 8 months ago
All who suffer from evil spirits and spells there is deliverance if you believe in Jesus Christ. All the evil spirits fear the name of Jesus Christ.

The bible says
" When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross"

I want to add just a point. To protect yourself from such things, (prevention as well as cure) Armour/kavacha's which are highly powerful cluster of mantras is highly effective. it may be of any god or goddess and usually used to perform good things(sadachar in hindi) but also mainly as a protection. So you can use such Armour.

I and my wife were also effected by these black magic. As i have a servant ( as I never used the word servant for any one), He has a bad eyes on me and my family and my property, I have very much faith on him, I always treat him as a poor and needy fallow and I often help him. By using this black magic he ruined me and my business even my married life even today me and wife are not happy with each other, we are totally destroyed I have no work. Myself and my wife mental status is not good, what to do I can't understand.

I chant Hanuma Chalisa, Durga kavach, Mah mritunjay mantra, meditation. Can somebody help me to solve my problems? Is their any place in north India where I can visit or having oldest Sri Chakra. As me and my family is apart from six month I am here in Delhi and my wife and children are living in Canada While writing this I am weeping from my heart. I am very thankful to u. God bless u.

Author 4 months ago
Sorry, I do not know any place that is so powerful in North. You better contact a very good astrologer and find out what you should for this. Do not go to ordinary astrologers. Their suggestions will be useless. I think proper chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama will also solve your problem. Try it. But don't chant those mantras wrongly. First read the Vishnu Sahssranama in front of a Sanskrit pandit to find out faults in the book that you read. Then continue reading. Read it early morning after bath. Offer red flowers to god Krishna or Vishnu. Light a lamp before the god. Do this before you take your breakfast. Read it continuously without miss for 42 days. See the result.

Waiting for u Thanks.

Author 3 months ago
That is because you have just started chanting Vishnu sahasranama and meditation. In the later stages you may not have such problems like sleeplessness. I think you are chanting it early morning. Because it is the best time. Avoid meditation in the evening time. Positive atmosphere is created when you chant those mantras. To get this energy within you it needs lot of meditation and samadhi which can be attained only through a Guru.

Hello Vivekananda. I am suffering huge losses in business. Is there any way out through this method..? Where do i have to go in Kerala to get the magic spell done so that business goes up again..?

No magic spells will work for becoming rich. You can try the temple with Srichakra. if its possible go to Kshanambika temple at Srirangapatna which is near Mysore, Karnataka. I have a hub related to Sriyantra. You can read the details there. But when you pray for the goddess and worship her always remember to respect women in your family as well as with others whom you contact everyday. Otherwise all prayers and worship will be of waste.

Supernatural Powers and Indian Yogis in the Himalayas

Indian Yogis with Powers :

Great epic Ramayana of India gives us an idea of how Hanuman exhibited his supernatural powers. He was a Brahamachari (unmarried) with self-control, a strong man with unlimited powers, an unmatched scholar and a great devotee of Lord Sriramchandra. Even to this day, people in India chant the Hanuman chalisa everyday to get rid of the evil. Daily chant of this mantra helps them overcome all sorts of trouble they face in life.
Powers of  the Sri yantra or Sri chakra

Sri yantra to gain Siddhis or Powers:

Sri Yantra is an auspicious tool with immense power that brings in riches and fulfills desires of a human being. There is nothing magical in this tool. It motivates our mind by removal of negativeness to achieve necessary goals in life. The obstacles and negativity in the surroundings will be removed. At the same time, harmony and peace is restored in that place.

Meditating upon the shown symbols of Sri yantra will help in the clarity of thoughts and leads towards re-focusing on the goals in a very efficient way. It helps a individual to gain the spiritual as well as material wealth in life. The worship of Sri yantra by offering flowers daily is a good practice. Any kind of worship or puja to the yantra does not consume more time. Do not forget to hang or place the Yantra at home or office on a very auspicious day. Read Interesting story on Sri Yantra in the archive - "Sri Yantra to get rid of witchcraft spells and evil spirits".

Siddhi and Sadhanas :

Siddhis are the gained Supernatural powers, Sadhana is the path of attaining of the siddhi which a Sadhak (Person who wants to gain powers) involves in his routine life.

Hanuman had almost all the Supernatural powers or Siddhis. He is a Chiranjeevi(man who has no death), according to indian epics Ramayan and Mahabharatha. He is still existing but unseen by the people of modern world.
Hanuman
Famous Himalayan Mountain range :

Himalayas, the famous mountain range at the north of India is also a sacred place for many. Kailash Parvath or the Mt. Kailash is the abode of Lord Shiva. There are many yogis still meditating in the caves of Himalayas. They are totally isolated from the modern world. They have the power to resist extreme weather conditions of the Himalayas.

You can see a clear video of the Yogi who is still living in the heights of the Himalayas where temperature is -45 degrees. The Yogi is able to survive on the ice just because of the immense powers he gained through meditation and sadhana.

Some people believe Hanuman the Chiranjeevi still exists near Manas sarovar lake, Himalayas
Hanuman reading Ramayan
Pantajali and the siddhis :

Patanjali, a sage of ancient times wrote in his scriptures about the eight siddhis, what we call supernatural powers.

1. Anima- The siddhi by which a yogi reaches a minute state. As small as an ant or totally invisible.

2. Mahima- The siddhi by which a yogi is able to be so big that he may even tear apart the clouds and looks as if he has reached the sun.

3. Laghima- Making the body as light as a feather or cotton. The power to levitate; to make yourself light so that one could float in the air or walk on the water.

4. Garima- Heaviest body like a mountain by swallowing draughts of air.

5. Prapti- Yogi attains the power to change any object from one state to another, as he desires. Can predict future events, gains the power of clairvoyance, clairaudience, telepathy, thought-reading, etc. He can understand any unknown language, the language of any beast or bird. He can cure all diseases.

6. Prakamya- Entering the body of another (Parakaya Pravesh).

7. Vashitvam- Power of taming wild beasts and bringing them under control. It is the power of mesmerising people by the exercise of will and making them obedient to one’s own wishes and orders. It is the restraint of passions and emotions. It is the power to bring men, women and the elements under subjection.

8. Ishathvam- Attainment of divine power. The Yogi himself becomes the Lord of universe. The Yogi who has this power can restore life in dead bodies.

Shankaracharya, the great saint :

Shankaracharya, the great Indian saint entered the dead body of a king called Amaruka of Varanasi. Shankara wanted to gain the experience of worldly life through that body.

Shankaracharya installed Srichakra in some of the temples in South India. These Srichakras have the power to defeat the evil spirits and blackmagic. They give away cosmic energy which are positive in nature. They have healing powers and prove very useful to the human beings. People believe that wishes are granted at those places where Shankaracharya had installed the divine Srichakra.

Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda was also a great spiritual leader. He was a great yogi who gave an inspiring speech at the World's Parliament of the Religions at Chicago on September 11, 1893. People gathered at the place were amazed to hear him address all the people as Brothers and Sisters of America. The divine glow on his face attracted everybody. Such is the mind of a person who embraces spirituality and becomes a yogi. Yogi is the person who wins over the six evils:

1. Kama (Lust or desires) 2. Krodha (Rage) 3. Lobha (Greed) 4. Moha (Attachment) 5. Mada (Ego) 6. Matsara (Envy or Jealousy)

Meditation and 7 Chakras

Sri Krishna (famous Bhagavath Puran)
Sri Krishna
The control over mind and body activities :

In the Bhagavath Puran (a great epic), Srikrishna has stated that there are many ways to attain these siddhis. Control over breathing, by practising the Pranayama. Hathayoga or Yogasans and self-control, meditation, awakening of the Kundalini or divine power within the body are some of them. Only with the Guru's direction these siddhis are attained. Pure vegetarian diet is expected during the practice or even after attainment of these powers. Mind and body should be clear to concentrate and meditate.

Awakening the Kundalini :

Rising of the Kundalini from bottom to top

The short video shows how a person gets the divine powers by meditation. There are 7 chakras in a human body. After purification of mind and body, Pranayama(control over breathing), continuous meditation and practising Hatha yoga for a long time, the Kundalini Shakthi in the body gets awakened at the bottom most Mooladhara chakra. When the person is able to rise the Kundalini shakthi to the top most 6th and 7th chakras, he will be able to attain the Siddhis or Supernatural powers.

Caution : It is very dangerous to awaken the Kundalini without the help of Gurus (experts in Hathayoga and meditation).

Ramayana is one of the all time hit stories in India, nothing more than that. Asthma is relieved temporarily when the bronchioles dilate so that air enters the lungs more freely. All the things about body becoming lighter and hanging freely in the air is called ILLUSIONISM. David Blaine does that superbly. Hanuman could have easily jumped across the ocean when the descriptions by the author got extremely superlative.

Author 3 years ago
Mr. Rajkamal, Ramayana is not only an epic but a true story, well-known in India and most of the Asian countries. There is ample proof in Srilanka and India for this. If u visit Lanka they will show the places where Ashoka vatika and battle took place. It is now all in ruins. Hanuman's existance is justified in the Rishyamuka parvat, one of the 7 hills near Hampi. Ramayana and Mahabharatha are not only great epics but stories based on facts. Whole of India is supporting these facts. If it was only a story written by someone only 1 or 2 states in India would have supported this. Hanuman is not only a Ramayan character but a living legend. He is beyond our imagination.

Person who saw him and clicked the photo died on the spot. The story related to this is given in:
geocities.com/Eureka/Enterprises/1503/Saikrish31.html
Just have look into that site. Not only that i know a village in Karnataka where Hanuman(idol) is sitting in meditating posture. In that particular village, no persons are expected to make loud noise. Those people with occupations related to wood cutting, craftsmen, carpenters etc. cannot live here. They suffer with unknown problems if they stay in this village. TV9 had shown this amazing village. You might ask me the question why this idol has so much power, when Hanuman is near Manas Sarovar. The fact is that Hanuman is a yogi with supernatural powers. David blain can show only levitation and not flying in air like superman. But Hanuman can. He is almighty and powerful. He can be in many places at one time. He is a Superhuman. Modern people cannot see him until and unless they fully dedicate and believe in him. They have to follow vrith and brahmacharya for years and totally cutoff from worldly happiness to see or reach him.People who are troubled with black magic can easily overcome this problem by strongly believing and worshipping Hanuman. I've seen this with my own eyes. So, i standby whatever i have mentioned in this blog.

Rajkamal 3 years ago from Guntur, A.P., India
Yes, Ramayana has a correct geographical presentation just like Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. Hanuman a God or killer? why would he kill a person who is trying to take a picture? You say that people can see his real power if they believe in him. I say that people need to see him forst to believe him. I am not saying that you should change your point in the blog or some thing like that. I only want to say that every one has to develop the attitude of questioning before believing. I believe in six Gods which taught me every thing I know, they are, 'What?', 'Why?', 'When?', 'Where'?, 'How?' and 'who?'
If you say that I have to get cut off from this world for years to see God, then, "No, thanks. I don't need God."

Author 3 years ago
Hanuman isn't a killer, but the person didn't have so much power to withstand the divine power that Hanuman had. He was an ordinary man like u and me. Many scientists cut off from the external world, until they discover or invent something new. They forget eating, drinking, sleeping etc. We all know it. To gain something one has to sacrifice. Soul cannot be purified until and unless somebody really dedicates and sacrifices for it. This is what we gain from meditation, Hathayoga and pranayama and worship of god. Happiness that yogis get with all this is only known to them. Not others who are totally immersed in worldly matters.

very informative page. given me much to think about. i often think of searching for a spiritual master to begin to train further down these paths, however doubt even this initial step. how would one even go about finding a proper teacher, if as i have read to understand, the most enlightened are themselves detached from the material world and thus out of contact with ordinaries like myself? furthermore, what of trust in another man to bring about spirituality? how to put faith in another of flesh and blood to lead me down these paths of betterness? questions and doubts pervade.
i am still young yet, and what a vital thing is time. how to be sure in devotion to this ideal, it will be lead and nurtured by the right teacher?

In Indonesia, especially in Java, Madura and Bali we know the Ramayana story. Hanuman or Anoman in Javanese language is the white ape, the general of the army of King Rama who invaded Alengka (Sri langka).

When someone speaks about our great culture and on the contributions of all Great Yogis that all these things have no science base, he and everyone who hears him must at least think most of science theories and basics is just the imagination or sudden sparks of ideas in the mind of its inventors and then develops a new basic, a contribution to the branch of science. Science now says a common man uses about 1% of his potential intellegence, about 2% by polititians and about 5% by scientists. By using this 5% of their potential intellegence, they analyse their thoughts and possibilities. By attaining divine power through yoga, prana yama and other spiritual methods one will be able to use his entire potential. Thus gaining wisdom he can understand the real truth. So what our great Yogis had told cannot be analysed using today's science because it has not grown enough yet to provide explanation for Indian spiritual thoughts, because the masters of science use only about 5% of their potential intellegence. Just think on Indian contributions like ayurveda which was born thousands of years before, is getting its world wide reputation. Let me conclude by saying, never tell 'no' or 'its baseless' to our spiritual concepts on the basis of science.. We must atleast study try to understand the truth about our spiritual concepts from a true spiritual teacher by following his instructions on practicing spiritual techniques....

Dear sir, forget people like Rajkamal. He would question all and everything. Some people love that. Lord Hanuman is the one we have to concentrate on, such people may deviate us from the path if we are weak. So concentrate and build your blog, so many more would be benifitted, inspite of people like Rajkamal.

PERSON TRYING TO DO SO SHOULD READ DYANESHWARI CHAPTER "KARAM YOGA" IN WHICH LORD DYANESHWAR HAD GIVEN BEAUTIFULL ILLUSTRATION WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS WHEN KUNDALINI IS AWAKEN....

Yes, of course it is a wonderful experience to awaken the Kundalini. But once someone awakens his/her Kundalini, then he should be very satwik in behaviour and food habits. Only an experienced Guru can tell you more about kundalini awakening. He will show the right path to be followed later on, so that there are no negative effects on the native.

I am really impressed with this article. I am also in search of a spiritual master who can guide and solve my plethora of questions both spiritual and material. Talking about Hanuman. I am enlightened to know about those interesting facts. In Telugu we call lord Hanuman as ANJINEYA. There is this famous Anjineya Dandakam(Like Hanuman chalisa). we strongly believe that those who read it will be relieved from fear and problems related to Black Magic and gains prosperity. Another interesting information is that Hanuman is the FUTURE BRAHMA. All the best and keep going.

The deeds done by a human being in his past and present life also counts in this world. Each and every human being or creature gets its form and life style just because of this. So we always see this vast difference in the world.

Vivekanand ji,As long as one considers The Great Ramayan and Mahabharat as just stories, it would be understood as stories only. The Mass of our population is made to understand that Ramayan and Mahabharat or any Puranas as mere stories.... In fact Those Puranas are the REAL HISTORY OF THIS GREAT NATION..not the one taught in the modern syllabus...about some cultureless pirates and maniacs who attacked and looted this sacred land.. Alaas.. that too is our karma phal..Any way.. India is the most Sacred Land in the entire Universe and will ever remain so being blessed by the Great Hanuman and the Yogis and Rishis of Himalayas.

If God really loves us, why didnt he endowed evryone with same power, i mean giving someone more and some very less, infact none. Why is always the poor and weak suffering of various problems in life whereas the rich and guilty roam free and untouched by sorrow. Dont u think sir, that God shd change his ways before we change our belief about him.
Actually i believe that if an honest, inocent and someone who has experienced most of the sorrows of life, replaces God in reality, he can do much better to the world. (Pls dont give the examples of Bruce Almigty, bcos: 1. He was alone, God had 108 deities, and 2. He had only ten days for works which needs 10000 years)

Hi Kennedy, Past deeds always follow a person. It is just a matter of time for a person who is going on a wrong path. Even the richest have to suffer when they are born on this planet. We only see people who suffer physically. But none of us can see a person who suffers mentally until he goes for a treatment or gets hospitalized. We see only smiling faces of people in our everyday life.

no one knows what has happened earlier...all which surrounds us is a belief.....why to use word GOD..take it as a energy which makes the whole world move...ask yourself..that even we don't believe in god but why then we say 'thank god'many times a day..we don't believe in god but still we blame someone for every problem..who is he.......we all know.......just think......why we all are here searching or surfing for shakti,yogis......all this a power...don't imagine it as a figure...but as a energy which is inside every being..every creature...

Good comment...Aishwarya. You may be right in some ways. But as you said everyone has his own belief. Belief may change from community to community, person to person. My belief lies on the fact related to the external source that gave birth to all of us. Which is that source? What name should be given to that powerful source? It is god..god and only the god.

if you are smart and intelligent, it is easy to find the right Guru. Never accept anyone as your guru, at first sight. Be with him for some days. Act as if you are helping him or his Ashram people. Do not get too much involved with him until you know he is the right one for you. Follow him for at least 6 months to know all his activities. Ask with people inside and outside Ashram, about his behavior and true powers.

Hi Vivekananda, Thanks for the Knowledge. I have been practicing Raja Yoga(based on Swami Vivekanda's books) for several hundreds of hours and am close to attain Samadhi state of mind(A mind fixed on a single thought/object for a count of at least 28.8 mins makes one spec of Samadhi state). I have a couple of questions which have set me in dilemma and are becoming hindrances for further progress. That is...The very fundamental stages are YAMA, which means, non-injuring anybody, truthfulness, non-covetousness, chastity(Bramhacharyam), not receiving anything from another & NIYAMA, which means regular habits and observances, austerity, study, contentment, purity, worshiping God, fasting.
Q1) These deeds of non-covetousness & chastity are almost impractical for a social man/family man and that infers that a social man can never become a Yogi. Is it true? If so is there any alternative? Q2) One of the crucial element of becoming a yogi is truly non-desirable & unbiased attitude. One who goes beyond the need of any desire alone can become yogi. If so the very thought of becoming a yogi itself is desirous. How do you explain this contradiction?
Q3) Why should one has to take the human form and then break away all the bonds and earthly possessions, become totally unbiased to anything and then attain enlightenment rather be a part/extension of the Super Intelligence itself and oversee all the creation? Kindly help with the insights. Thank you.

Author 3 months ago
Hi Karthik Battaram, You are here with some good questions.
A social man/family man can surely become a Yogi. But it becomes almost impossible because of his strong bonding with family members. Once he comes out of this bonding and gets prepared for it mentally, it becomes easier to follow the path of saints. Only the one who is really born for it will change his mind. After having lot of experiences in life, it is better to go for the path of enlightenment because according to Hindu scriptures, we don't take birth as humans every time. According to the karma in the present life, a soul takes the form. So, to get rid of this karma it will be great thinking to become a yogi. Strong will power is needed to follow the path of enlightenment. But the Guru can do it all. He should be a great yogi himself to change another person. He is able to select the disciple and future yogis at the first sight. So find a best Guru who can lead you towards a right path.

There will not be any desires in a true yogi. He knows that he has to get rid of all strong bonds and disconnect from this mortal world to attain the ultimate - moksha(free from birth and death) .

Mr. Karthik Battaram
Q1) These deeds of non-covetousness & chastity are almost impractical for a social man/family man and that infers that a social man can never become a Yogi. Is it true? If so is there any alternative?
Ans: a social man/family man can become a yogi.... the meaning behind the words non-covetousness & chastity doesn't mean to this physical world... ur mind should be able to see them as acts of body and not to have any attachment / expectation out of those acts...
Q2) One of the crucial element of becoming a yogi is truly non-desirable & unbiased attitude. One who goes beyond the need of any desire alone can become yogi. If so the very thought of becoming a yogi itself is desirous. How do you explain this contradiction?
Ans: ur right the thought of becoming a yogi itself is a desire... that's why the practice of seeing the ur body, mind & acts as a third person without any expectation is the practice which u have to do...
this is called as "aparokshanubhuti"... u can practice by sitting in a calm place by closing ur eyes and observing ur thoughts in a neutral ways without expecting any outcome out of this practice... in the beginning it may be difficult to observe without any bias or expectation... but with time u will know what i said by urself... this practice will also make u to understand the answer to ur first question
Once u start practising this u will know that ur body & mind may be performing some activities but ur no way attached to it or expecting any outcome from it
Q3) Why should one has to take the human form and then break away all the bonds and earthly possessions, become totally unbiased to anything and then attain enlightenment rather be a part/extension of the Super Intelligence itself and oversee all the creation?
Ans: All those things what u said is from the world's view... can u view & understand an object by being within it ? Ex: can u see & understand an Bus / train completely by sitting with in it !!... only by observing it from side u can understand it completely... similarly what ur able to realise ur true-self that ur not this body... u will understand that all these things called human, animal or forms all the acts of thought like a film reel running in front of u... they just doesn't have any more meaning when ur to achieve ur trueself

Sri Yantra to get rid of Witchcraft Spells and Evil Spirits

Sri Yantra or Sri Chakra

Sri Yantra or Sri Chakra is a divine instrument that absorbs cosmic energy.

It is popularly mistaken to be a symbol of Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and wealth. Sri Yantra is actually a representation of Lalitha Mahatripurasundari or Parvathi, the consort of Lord Shiva. The term Sri is used to denote the reverence to be given to the holy Yantra. The Sri Chakra is often referred as King of all Chakras (the Chakra Raja) or a supreme instrument in the path of spiritual advancement. It possesses the power to purify mind and body of humans. It is also used an instrument to ward off evil and get rid of witchcraft spells.

Sri Yantra is a divine storehouse of energy which absorbs cosmic rays from the magnetosphere of the Earth, the planets and other objects in the universe. The yantra transforms the cosmic rays into constructive or positive vibrations which are then transmitted to the surroundings. It has a power to destroying all destructive forces within the vicinity. The supreme hidden powers can be noticed within a short span of time.

Sri Adi Shankaracharya, commonly known as Shankaracharya consecrated and installed the Sri Yantra in various temples across India. Shankaracharya was born in 788 CE at Kalady of present day Kerala state, India. He attained Jeeva Samadhi(entered the tomb alive) at Kedarnath, Pala Empire, the present day Uttarakhand in 820 CE.

Mr. Siddegowda, the lawyer and his horrifying experiences

People residing in some places of south India are often troubled by witchcraft spells. A few sorcerers in Andhra and Kerala are active in casting spells. One can feel depressed with nightmares and insomnia because of the spell cast on him/her.

A private TV channel, TV-9 recorded a person’s horrifying experience. A lawyer by name Siddegowda experienced a peculiar kind of problem. He, his wife and children started hearing voices within their house. A strange shadow always followed his wife while she was moving around at home. In the night, after they went to bed they heard as if someone wearing anklets was moving all along the house. The ringing sound of anklets never allowed them to sleep. Kitchen ware and utensils fell down by itself. Scratch marks were seen on his wife’s body. When she woke up from her sleep she had scratch marks on her face and body. There was also a bit of facial swelling. He approached many sorcerers to get rid of this problem but all his efforts went in vain. He consulted astrologers and visited many temples thinking that he might get some relief. But nothing worked for him.

After some days, Siddegowda’s children also suffered from the same problem. Siddegowda had problems within his stomach. He had acute pain and most of the time vomited whatever he ate. All these strange conditions at home made him and his wife scream at night. All the family members thought of committing suicide. They were also in search of a permanent solution for all the problems. In front of TV cameras he shared all his experiences and stated that only the person who suffers knows how horrible the experience really is.

As an educated person he never believed in evil spirits and witchcraft spells. But later he was forced to believe all this. He came to know from astologers that his relatives were the main cause of the trouble. They did not want him to prosper and grow. They had cast a spell of Bhanamathi, a deadly witchcraft, through a sorcerer from Andhra region.

Siddegowda, a lawyer

Siddegowda’s problem solved

Siddegowda’s friend gave him a suggestion. He told him to go to an ancient temple which was thousands of years old. It was located in Mandya district, southern part of Karnataka state. The place is none other than Srirangapatna where the most audacious king of Mysore, Tipu Sultan had built his summer palace. It is situated about 14km from Mysore and 125km from Bangalore.

At the heart of the Srirangapatna, the Kshanambika Temple is located. It was Sri Shankaracharya, a great yogi with supernatural powers who consecrated and installed the Sri Yantra in front of the Goddess Kshanambika, in this temple. It has divine powers and grants wishes to people who come to seek the blessings of the goddess.

Siddegowda went to the temple along with his family and wept bitterly before the Yantra. His problems were solved in no time. He never experienced such deep trouble again.

Kshanambika temple, Srirangapatna

Sri Yanta has the power to grant wishes

Sri Yantra at Kshanambika temple not only gives relief from witchcraft spells but also grants wishes to anyone who wants stability of mind and achieve the best results in education. The place in and around the temple is totally filled with divine powers and positive energy just because of the Yantra.
Sringeri in Chickmagalur district in Karnataka. Prasanna Meenakshi Temple near Shivanasamudra of Kollegal Taluk, Chamarajnagar district in Karnataka.Tiruvanaikaval, Kanchipuram. Mangadu, Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu. All these temples have the powerful Sri Yantra.

Sri Yantra at home or business establishments

Many people in India have the yantra at home or business establishments. These yantras are etched on gold, silver or copper sheets. It is better to take suggestion from astrologers or temple priests before it is taken home or to any business establishments.

How to gain Positive Energy from the Sacred Tombs?

Giants’ Tomb of Dorgali at Sardinia

Giants’ tomb of Dorgali at Sardinia has been popular for the magnetic field around it. The magnetic field is powerful enough and releases positive energy. Angela Corrias, an Italian journalist specializing in travel writing has a blog - In Atlantis, in a Giants’ tomb where she reveals her personal experience.

She has mentioned clearly in her blog - Many people take the Giants' Tomb as a place to restore from daily stress and go there to absorb some of the energies that our ancestors managed to identify in those strategic spots.

It is indeed true that positive energy is released from some of the ancient and sacred tombs.

Tombs of saints who attained Jeeva Samadhi

In southern India there are too many sacred tombs which not only give out positive energy but also have healing powers. Ancient times have witnessed enough of Jeeva Samadhi in this part of the world. Jeeva means alive and Samadhi means tomb. Of course, a higher level of concentrated meditation or dhyana is also called as Samadhi . But here the meaning of Samadhi is related to the tomb.

Jeeva Samadhi is attained by a person imbued with eternal life force after his kundalini gets awakened through prolonged meditation and by gaining yogic powers. Kundalini is best explained in my topic - Supernatural powers and Indian Yogis in the Himalayas(click on archive in the side bar).

How people gain positive energy:

1. They need to have faith in the person who has entered the tomb alive. It is very much like having the faith and belief in god himself.
2. The person who wants to get his desires fulfilled wakes up before sunrise i.e. between 5.30 - 6.00AM.
3. Takes a head bath either in a nearby lake, river or water body.
4. Wears dry and clean clothes after the bath.
5. Fasting is done by most of the people who want to please the guru. If at all food is taken, never take non - vegetarian as food on that particular day.
6. In some places they allow to bath the tomb with the river water or milk. In some places devotees are not allowed to go near the tomb and always a gap is maintained so that the person inside the tomb doesn’t get disturbed.
7. Chanting begins with the name of the Guru(saint). For example if its Raghavendra, the chanting mantra will be Sri Raghavendraya Namah .
8. Circumambulate the tomb 108 times. Or with a rosary in hand meditate sitting on a straw carpet. The main intension here is body shouldn’t have direct contact with the ground while meditating. If body touches the ground the power gained by meditation will be lost to the earth below. One round rosary has 108 beads. With image of the Guru present in mind or directly gazing at the tomb with total concentration chant the mantra for 108 times.
9. Never divert the attention or leave for any other work until the mantra is uttered 108 times.
10. On some week days such as Thursday is believed to be very auspicious to please the Gurus in the tomb. On these days the mantra chanting will be very fruitful.

The main intent of Jeeva Samadhi

By spiritual practices, the person who attains Jeeva Samadhi has control over his breath and doesn’t allow the body to die. Hence the body cells don't get damaged. Functioning of the body is stopped by his / her own will. The person in samadhi fixes the mind permanently with the supreme god and stops functioning. Then a tomb is built around the person who sits still without breathing. Body never gets decayed even after thousands of years. Magnetic force and positive energy acts as a life force in the body. Sometimes the time limit for the samadhi status depends upon the saint's bio-magnetic strength, which may vary in terms of hundreds of years. Until then, the soul of the person in samadhi state will continue to bless the devotees. As an invisible helper or Unseen master, guides the human race for their well-being.

Brindavan the sacred tomb at Mantralaya

Great yogis, gurus and sacred people with their miracles had changed the minds of people in society at that time. Their words and deeds had enough power to mesmerize everyone around them. After they felt they had done enough for the people and society they attained Jeeva Samadhi on an auspicious day. For the outside world they had passed away to a heavenly abode. But their souls were still alive and created miracles every now and then.

One such well known Saint is Guru Raghavendra Swamy. During the period between 1595 and 1671 he lived as one of the most respected Hindu saints. He is well-known for preaching the vaishnavism(worship of Vishnu as the supreme God) and Sri Madhvacharya's Dvaita philosophy. He ascended Brindavana(his Jeev Samadhi) at Mantralayam in present day Andhra Pradesh state in the year 1671.

Before he attained the Jeeva Samadhi he had advised his disciples to start arranging slabs and build the walls of the tomb around him once the rolling of rosary beads by fingers in his hand become still. Mantralayam is now a pilgrimage destination. People believe that he would help the society and mankind to come-out from troubles and miseries for nearly 700 years. His tomb Brindavan to this day has positive energy around it and has created countless miracles.

Brindavan or Samadhi, the sacred tomb

Raghavendra Swamy and Sir Thomas Munro during the British Colonial rule:

Sir Thomas Munro, a Collector at Bellary in Karnataka State had come across an apparition of Raghavendra Swamy. This incident took place in the year 1801. He recorded in the Madras Districts Gazetteer as having spoken with Raghavendra Swamy in English over an endowment proposal. He had to ultimately quash the proposal as per the Swamy's advice. Munro also served as the Governor of Madras(Chennai) later.

Sant Jnaneshwar of Alandi, Maharashtra

Great saint Sant Jnaneshwar, also known as Jnanadeva, is well known for writing the Jnaneshwari, a commentary on Bhagavadgeetha. He was a great saint who lived in Maharashtra state of India. Born in 1275 A.D. at a place by name Alandi. Jnanadeva also wrote many abhangas (devotional songs) to Lord Vithala(Lord Vishnu's another form).

Both Sant Namdev and Jnanadev went on a pilgrimage to northern India. On their return to Alandi it was 13th day of the dark fortnight of Karthika month (according to Hindu calendar) in the year 1296, Jnanadev entered into a cave alive and it was closed like a tomb. People believe that his brother and sister followed him into samadhi within a year and a half. A temple was constructed there and thousands of devotees visit the place even today. He was just 21 years old when he attained Jeev samadhi.

Navabrindavan at Anegondi

Navabrindavan or the nine sacred tombs

Anegondi is a small village located on the north banks of the Tungabhadra river in Koppal district of Karnataka state. It is on the opposite bank of the Vittala Temple. Anegondi was once the capital of Vijayanagara Empire. Nine of the later saints of Madhvacharya's order are eternally resting and still alive in the Navabrindavan(the nine sacred tombs). After midnight men on ferry who move around the place have experienced seeing the spirits of these saints in the form a brilliant glowing light or sometimes also as humans.

The nine saints residing in the sacred tombs are:

1.    Sri Padmanabha Tirtha
2.    Sri Jayathirtha/Sri Raghuvarya
3.    Sri Kavindra Thirtha
4.    Sri Vageesha Thirtha
5.    Sri Vyasaraja Thirtha
6.    Sri Sreenivasa Thitha
7.    Sri Rama Thirtha
8.    Sri Sudheendra Thirtha
9.    Sri Govinda Odeyaru

Tourists reach Navabrindavan by ferries in the summer season. The place is unreachable during rainy season.
Many temples in Tamilnadu and Andhara Pradesh have one or more Jeev Samadhi in their locality. People get relieved from stress and feel better when they visit such Temples. So they are gaining more popularity. These sacred tombs formed around the shrines are believed to possess good magnetic fields. Worshippers experience peace of mind and desires are fulfilled. There are many instances of miracles that took place after having prayed at such tombs.

Jeeva Samadhi places in and around Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh states:

•    Eswaramma sacred tomb at Kandimallayapalle, Cuddapah, Andra Pradesh.
•    Sri Yadati Govinda Swamy sacred tomb at Palugurallapalle, Badwel Talug, Cuddapah, Andra Pradesh.
•    Sri Sadu Siddaiah Swamy sacred tomb at Mudumala, Cuddapah, Andra Pradesh.
•    Sri Veerabhramendra Swamy sacred tomb at Kandimallayapalle, Cuddapah, Andra Pradesh.

Hi Vinaya, Thanks for your comments.
Those are the sacred tombs of saints or yogis who meditated for many years to obtain siddhis. The siddhis they gain are fully utilized for the welfare of mankind. The powers they gained have positive energy in itself. So the tombs become powerful with divine energy.
